Green Room Productions is one of the premier musical theatre companies in London and the South East. The company presents two musicals a year at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar.

We are always pleased to welcome new members who want to share in the excitement, hard work and exhilaration of producing first-rate musical theatre.

Meeting Times:
We rehearse Mondays and Wednesdays, 7.45 – 10.15pm, and occasional Sundays.

Green Room strives for innovation and inspiration in musical theatre, by staging newly released productions and giving a fresh interpretation to classic shows. Over its 55 year history the company has staged several premieres. In 2006 we were one of the first companies in the country to present Thoroughly Modern Millie, seen recently in London’s West End, and more recently in May 2010 we staged the regional premiere of the stage version of  Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Through our productions we hope to demonstrate that non-professional theatre can be as impressive and enjoyable as shows on the West End stage.

We have an active membership of around 50 performers, supported by our production and front of house teams and over 100 Friends of Green Room. No audition is needed for those working behind the scenes but all prospective acting members are asked to demonstrate their singing, dancing and acting talents in an audition.

Recent productions include: Beauty and the Beast, My Fair Lady, Mame, Billy, Showboat, The Music Man, Mack and Mabel, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Guys and Dolls and Annie Get Your Gun.

Fees: Annual membership is currently £10 per year.  For each production acting members currently pay a show fee of around £80.

Up and coming Events:

This autumn we will be producing two spectacular shows for your enjoyment.  In November we are delighted to be presenting the sparkling Jerry Herman musical La Cage aux Folles.  We follow this in December with a cabaret-style celebration of song from the world of musical theatre based around the theme of the seasons – Seasons of Song – a perfect Christmas treat.
